Teixidelo beach is a very special place, characterised by being the only non-volcanic black sand beach in the world.
Located in Cedeira, Teixidelo beach is considered one of the most spectacular beaches in Galicia due to the black colour of its sand, which contrasts with the green cliffs of A Capelada, which rise more than 600 m above sea level in Garita da Herbeira.
The area is virtually abandoned and wild, so there are absolutely no services of any kind. Despite this, we recommend a visit for the unique landscape.
Please see Wikiloc (see blog) for directions.
